TEDx Talks: My cellphone, my partner (by Nuria Oliver)

Pra el post de hoy, os recomiendo la siguiente charla TEDx Talks de Nuria Oliver que lleva por título My cellphone, my partner

My cellphone, my partner: Nuria Oliver at TEDxBarcelona

Nuria Oliver has a Ph.D. with Honors in Artificial Intelligence and Computational Perception from the Media Lab at the MIT. At her current position - Scientific Director at Telefónica R&D, Barcelona - she is researching in the field of multimedia data analysis, mobile and ubiquitous computing, big-data analysis with a human-centric perspective and recommender systems. In her talk, Nuria points out that our smartphones inform us very well but do not know our personality nor our mood and thus neither adapt their communication to us as a human conversation partner would. She proposes us possible ways how a smartphone can identify our personality and mood. Thus, a smartphone would adapt not only to our personality but also to our current mood and communicate to us in a much more human form. The talk has been recorded at TEDxBarcelona on the 17th of May 2013. For more information please visit www.tedxbarcelona.com

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
